Status: Deployed
Result: Replaced manual backlog triage with an automated Asana ↔ Jira pipeline now used by program managers and engineering teams.
Situation: A specialized data analytics dashboard’s backlog needed a repeatable process to move items from idea to development-ready, spanning separate Asana and Jira instances used by product and engineering teams.
Action taken:
- Built custom metadata fields and controlled vocabularies to track user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and stakeholder interest
- Designed automation rules to auto-rank and route backlog items, and synced tickets across Asana and Jira via native integration
- Delivered a phased Jira workflow matching the development team’s process, with automated stakeholder notifications
Research Data Analytics Dashboard – Multi-Cycle Release Management

Result: Delivered multiple major and minor releases on time, with a significant reduction in post-release issues compared to the process prior to my involvement
Situation: A research data analytics dashboard required ongoing evolution across successive release cycles — incorporating customer-driven feature requests, back-end infrastructure changes, and new metrics — while previous release cycles had a track record of post-release issues.
Action taken:
- Shepherded the dashboard through repeated major and minor release cycles, translating customer feedback into prioritized, implementable features
- Oversaw reconfiguration of back-end infrastructure and underlying data queries to support new and evolving metrics
- Designed and led multiple rounds of QC testing with subject-matter-expert stakeholders to validate releases before deployment
- Established a repeatable release process that improved on-time delivery and cut post-release defects relative to prior cycles
Digital Repository Submission System – Development & Deployment
Status: Deployed
Result: Delivered a Drupal-based submission portal with 15 unique webform variants, now in production use campus-wide.
Situation: Library partners needed a bespoke portal for faculty, students, and researchers to deposit materials into the FSU Digital Repository.
Action taken:
- Elicited requirements from stakeholders and translated them into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Designed and delivered 15 webform variants across media types, each configured to generate repository ingest packages via API
- Set up access controls, role permissions, notifications, and UX theming; iterated with stakeholders at each review
Digital Repository Platform Evaluation
Status: Complete — Strategic recommendation delivered
Result: Delivered a final report and business case for two new repository platforms. Recommendations accepted by Senior Leadership and procurement initiated.
Situation: FSU’s Digital Repository, hosted on a legacy open-source framework in AWS, needed migration. The next generation system required evaluating and selecting new platforms against stakeholder needs and strategic priorities.
Action taken:
- Elicited functional and nonfunctional requirements across multiple stakeholder groups
- Surveyed the platform landscape and used systematic testing to narrow the field of vendors
- Ran provider info sessions and deployed hands-on demo instances for stakeholder evaluation
- Synthesized findings into a final report and recommendation
